No. 4 Waiakea and Hilo Raiders Seek State Volleyball Championship

The New City Nissan/HHSAA D-I Girls Volleyball State Championships kicks off tonight with two Big Island school’s seeking the State title.

The Hilo Vikings (16-2) will take on the Kahuku Red Raiders (10-5) at 4 p.m. this afternoon, Oct. 23, at Hilo High School. The winner will take on No. 2 ranked and undefeated Moanalua on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at Moanalua.

The No. 4 ranked Waiakea Warriors (16-2) will take on the winner of the Kapolei/Farrington game which takes place this evening.

The Warriors will play their first game at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at McKinley High School.

The Championship game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. on NBC.
