The Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry Hawaii (JCCIH) has launched a newly redesigned website that includes a complete member directory.

The website has a clean, modern look, incorporating cultural elements such as bamboo and origami paper. The redesign aims to provide website visitors with a quality content experience and increase member access to Chamber information. The site also is optimized for use across numerous devices including smartphones, tablets and desktops.

New functionalities beyond the online membership directory include the ability to join or renew membership, as well as an events and community calendar. Members are able to access their JCCIH online business profile, and edit or add detailed information such as logos, photos, social media and website links.

The site also includes a blog, advocacy section, chamber history and general information about the chamber, its committees and leadership.

“The vision was to enhance the chamber’s online presence to better serve our members’ interests and needs,” said Audrey Takamine, president of JCCIH. “Elements from our past are merged with interactive features, making it a more streamlined and visually interesting experience.”

The JCCIH website was developed and designed by GUM Design of Hilo and Hastings & Pleadwell: A Communication Company, both JCCIH members.
