A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. HST Thursday., Sept. 21, 2017, for the leeward and southeast waters around the Big Island, Pailolo Channel, Alenuihaha Channel and Mā‘alaea Bay on Maui.
Winds are coming from the east-northeast at 20 to 25 knots (23 to 28 mph).
A Small Craft Advisory Indicates that Inexperienced mariners—especially those operating smaller vessels—should avoid navigating In these hazardous conditions.
