1st Annual Community Cup Fundraiser at Volcano Art Center
The public is invited to the 1st Annual Volcano Art Center Community Cup fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 8 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the center’s Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.
The event will feature hand-thrown tea cups and bowls by local Big Island potters, as well as samples of fine Hawaiʻi grown teas, demonstrations, exhibits and more.
Proceeds from the event will support ceramics and stained glass programs at Volcano Art Center’s education campus.
VOC’s potters, including Chiu Leong, Erik Wold, Emily Herb and special guest artists, have already begun throwing a large assortment of tea drinking vessels that will be included in the price of admission.
Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door and includes your choice of one tea bowl, plus samples of brewed Hawaiʻi grown teas.
