Average Gas Prices in Hawai‘i Hold Steady

Retail gas prices in Hawai‘i have held steady, averaging $3.07 per gallon for regular grade fuel, and falling by .01 cent since last week, according to a AAA Gas Prices report.

The average is up .03 cents from last month, when prices averaged $3.04 statewide. One year ago, the average price for regular gas statewide in Hawai‘i was $2.69 per gallon.

Hiloʻs average price per gallon of regular gasoline was reported at $3.10, up from $3.07 one week ago, according to the AAA report. One month ago, gas prices averaged $3.00 per gallon in Hilo; one year ago, $2.64 per gallon.

In Honolulu, gas prices have fallen by 0.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.88 per gallon for regular gas, according to GasBuddy.com daily survey of 214 gas station in Honolulu.

Nationwide, average gas prices have fallen 2.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.32 per gallon, according to GasBuddy. The current national average for regular gasoline is $2.33 per gallon.
