The Hawai‘i County Department of Water Supply will conduct a fire hydrant flow test on Kawaihae Road for the Hale Ola Pono Health Center in South Kohala (including side roads and lanes) between 9 and 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017.
Customers in the affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test.
Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.
Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, call Mr. DWS District Supervisor William O’Neil Jr. at (808) 887-3030.
