Grand Naniloa Hotel to Host First Annual July 4 Extravaganza
Big Island residents and visitors are invited to attend the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo’s first annual 4th of July Extravaganza, spanning two days, July 3 and 4, 2017.

Monday, July 3, 6:30 p.m.
Souring Surprises with Oahu’s DJ ANIT
DJ Anit from O‘ahu will make a special appearance in Hilo to launch the first annual 4th of July Extravaganza dance party on the Grand Lawn.
The event will feature a variety of giveaways, including:
- A one-night stay at Grand Naniloa Hotel
- A three-course chef’s dinner for two at the new Grand Naniloa restaurant, opening soon
- Zip Line Through Paradise certificate for two
- Two bags of Kona coffee from Bayview Farms
- 10 complimentary drink coupons at the Grand Naniloa Bar
Available for purchase will be fresh kettle popcorn, ice cream and an array of tasty treats from local food trucks, including Hawaiian Fresh Kettle Corn.
Fun for all ages, the evening will include special surprises. Guests are encouraged to come early.

The 4th of July festivities will feature keiki rides, blow up water slides, face painting and henna tattoos, DJs and live music, a beer garden, and food for purchase, including hamburgers and hot dogs.
Thirsty Thursday, 5–8 p.m.
Located at the hotel’s Hula Lounge—the bay view lobby bar—this weekly ritual features drink specials and live music from some of Hawai‘i’s finest musicians.
Fireworks Display, 8 p.m.
Launched from Hilo Bay, the fireworks show will be visible from the Grand Naniloa lawn and guest rooms.

KapohoKine Adventures, the Grand Naniloa’s in-house activities center, is offering an exclusive Front Row Fireworks Kayak Tour package. The package is $499 plus tax per person and includes a guest room for two at the Grand Naniloa Hotel, dinner for two, a kayak tour of Hilo Bay and a champagne toast. The package is limited to 12 people or 6 couples. The kayaks will launch at around sunset on July 4 at Hilo Bay for dinner and the fireworks show.
