HFD Douses Orchidland Brush Fire

The Hawai‘i County Fire Department responded to a smoldering brush fire at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Orchidland Drive in Paradise Park at 2:50 p.m.on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
The approximate 20-by-30-foot main fire was in an inaccessible area, but spot fires ignited in different areas due to winds and very dry vegetation.
The total area burned was approximately 3.6 acres.
The fire was extinguished at 3:50 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
