Looking Ahead

Trade winds are expected the next couple of days with passing clouds and showers for our usual windward and mauka showers. A weak disturbance is approaching the state this weekend and early next week winds could drop off and showers increase.

Today 

We expect east winds around 10 to 20 mph with variable winds to 15 mph in Kona and Kau. High temperatures are forecast from 81° to 86°. Partly cloudy skies with scattered windward showers today. Isolated afternoon showers for the Kona side, mainly upslope. Hazy skies as well.

UV index at 12 (“extreme” exposure level)

 

Tonight 

Trade winds are forecast around 10 to 20 mph with variable winds in Kona and Kau up to 15 mph. Partly cloudy skies with scattered windward showers and clearing leeward skies. Low temperatures from 70° to 75°.
