Nancy Elizabeth O’Connell of Kailua-Kona passed away at the age of 93. Born in Santa Ana, CA. She was a public school teacher for the state of California.

She is survived by daughter Nancy MacGregor of Kailua Kona; granddaughter Maegan (Kevin) MacGregor; grandson Jonathan (Lauren) MacGregor and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Benjamin and Elizabeth.

Private services will be held.

Robert Thomas Coulman
June 24, 1938 – May 21, 2017

Robert Thomas Coulman, 78, of Naalehu, passed away on May 21, 2017. Robert was born on June 24, 1938 in Elkhorn, WI. He retired as the owner of Coulman’s Body Shop in Tok, AK. He is survived by his wife; Mary Coulman; mother Viola Coulman; father Thomas Coulman; sons Charles Coulman, Bobby Coulman, Edward Ruppert and Shaun Komora (step-son); daughters Leitha Howe, Melinda Leichliter, Lori Clarke and Christine Harvey (step-daughter); brothers Patrick Coulman, William Coulman, David Coulman and Donald Coulman; sisters Mary Ann Bury, Kathleen Oliver, Dorie Jones, Cynthia Chadwick and Janet Coulman, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Mai Vu-Tran, 70 years old, of Lahaina, passed away on May 26, 2017 in Lahaina. She was born on July 16, 1946 in Vietnam.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Sacred Hearts Church in Kapalua. Visitation will be held again from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, mass will begin at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at Maui Memorial Park, Maui View Gardens, at 2 p.m.

Mai is survived by her husband, Joseph T.X. Vu; children, Phuong Vu-Tran, Thao (Kiet Han) Vu-Tran, Phong (Thao Tran) Vu-Tran, Tam (Thanh Le) Vu-Tran, and Son (Hue Huynh) Vu-Tran; grandchildren, Marian, Thomas, Kimberlie, Mike, Krystal, Stephanie, Jasmine, Tyler, Cyanne, Tracy, and Leila.

Kathleen Susan Peterson, 64, of Makawao, Maui, passed away on May 18, 2017, in the care of Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on June 21, 1952 in Huntington Park, CA.

Kathy was very much an adventurous women with a heart of gold. She lived her life to the fullest. Dancing, fishing, boat racing, and all forms of speed were her passions.

Kathy is survived by her parents James and Lorraine Leonard; brother, Mike (Lee-Ann) Leonard; sisters, Pat Leonard and Coleen Leonard, step-sister, Patty Boyle; and niece Dawn Leonard.

Kathy will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
