Looking Ahead
The weather will be controlled by a light wind pattern with daytime sea breezes and nighttime land breezes taking hold. This pattern is expected through Saturday. Trades should begin filling back in on Sunday with a return to trade wind weather and strengthen to moderate and locally breezy levels through much of next week. A period of wet trades with more frequent showers is possible during the middle part of next week, as remnants of a front push through the islands.

We expect northeast winds up to 15 mph with local sea breezes developing in the afternoon for the Kona side. High temperatures are forecast from 81° to 86°. Mostly sunny skies in the morning with building clouds in the afternoon and a scattered showers for the Kona side. Partly cloudy with scattered showers for windward spots. Hazy skies are expected for the Kona side.
