The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports a 6.6 earthquake occurred in the Aleutian Islands at 7 a.m. Hawai‘i time this morning.

An earthquake has occurred with these preliminary parameters:

Origin time: 7:01 a.m. HST, May, 8, 2017

Coordinates: 51.4 north
178.6 west
