The Department of Public Works Traffic Division will conduct maintenance work on Hilo traffic signals at the Kanoelehua Avenue and Maka‘ala Street intersection on Wednesday, March 22, and on the Kanoelehua Avenue and Kawailani Street intersection on Sunday, April 2.

Work is scheduled between  8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather conditions permitting.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to be aware that the traffic signals being worked on will go offline until repairs are completed.

Special off-duty police officers will be on-site to facilitate traffic movement.

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
