Kona Historical Society Selected as ‘Charity of Choice’

The West Hawaiʻi Association of Realtors (WHAR) has selected Kona Historical Society (KHS) as their “Charity of Choice for 2017.” The Association announced the selection during a member luncheon featuring an engaging talk by Howard Dicus of Hawaiʻi News Radio and Hawaiʻi News Now.
WHAR is a nonprofit corporation and was established in 1969. Members have organized the first charity event to benefit KHS as the Charity of Choice, a golf tournament at Hokuliʻa scheduled for Sept. 11, 2017.
WHAR is a nonprofit voluntary association of real estate professionals spanning the West Hawaiʻi area of Hawaiʻi Island. It was established in 1969.
KHS is a community-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Smithsonian Museum affiliate dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Kona districts and their rich cultural heritage.
