The West Hawaiʻi Association of Realtors (WHAR) has selected Kona Historical Society (KHS) as their “Charity of Choice for 2017.” The Association announced the selection during a member luncheon featuring an engaging talk by Howard Dicus of Hawaiʻi News Radio and Hawaiʻi News Now.

WHAR is a nonprofit corporation and was established in 1969. Members have organized the first charity event to benefit KHS as the Charity of Choice, a golf tournament at Hokuliʻa scheduled for Sept. 11, 2017.

WHAR is a nonprofit voluntary association of real estate professionals spanning the West Hawaiʻi area of Hawaiʻi Island. It was established in 1969.

KHS is a community-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Smithsonian Museum affiliate dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Kona districts and their rich cultural heritage.
