Kahilu Theatre Presents Pianist Mark Valenti

Kahilu Theatre will bring solo pianist Mark Valenti to the stage as part of its Kahilu Steinway Series on Friday, March 17, at 6 p.m.
Valenti earned a Master’s degree in music at Northwestern University, and has studied with notable teachers like Benjamin Whitten, Zoltan Kocsis, and Mary Sauer. He has performed in cities nationwide, including for the former First Lady Barbara Bush in Washington, D.C., as well as international venues across France, Belgium, Hungary, and Luxembourg.
The Kahilu evening program will feature well-known classical compositions: Karol Szymanowski’s Four Mazurkas, op. 50, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata no.31 in A flat major, op. 110, Claude Debussy’s Three Etudes, Johannes Brahms’ Three Pieces, and Sergei Prokofieff’s Sonata #7 in B flat major, op. 83.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the performance and snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the Kahilu Theatre bar.
The Kahilu Steinway Series is a lineup of affordable performances featuring Kahilu Theatre’s Model D Steinway Concert Grand Piano.
