Grammy Museum inductee Henry Kapono invites the public to a Lifetime Party of Friends on Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at Kahilu Theatre.

Joining the “Songs of C&K” show, a tribute to the music of Cecilio & Kapono, is Hawaii Music Award winner Johnny Valentine, Alx Kawakami of Manoa DNA and 2016 Nā Hōkū Hano Hano “Most Promising Artist” award winner Blayne Asing.

During the 1970s, C&K was one of the most popular Hawaiian bands in the world, described as the biggest recording artists to come out of Hawai‘i at the time.

They blended their distinctive and individual talents to give contemporary and folk rock a new perspective.

For many people living in Hawai‘i, C&K provided the soundtrack of the ’70s.
