Remnants of a front that brought clouds and showers yesterday are forecast to linger keeping Maui County cloudy and wet through Tuesday. Showers are expected to become more active starting Tuesday night through Friday as a disturbance nears the islands from the northwest. Periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible.

We have variable winds today around 15 mph. High temperatures are forecast from 78° to 84°. Mostly sunny skies are expected in the morning with mostly cloudy skies and showers likely in the afternoon. Haze is also forecast.

Tonight 

Northwest winds are forecast around 15 to 20 mph. Partly cloudy skies are expected for Hawaii County with scattered windward showers and isolated leeward showers. Low temperatures from 66° to 71°.
