Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Wave heights are forecast to be shoulder/head high today.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be knee/thigh high today.
South: Wave heights are expected to be knee/thigh high today.
Only minimal swell expected through the 4th. A fun size swell is forecast for the 5th / 6th if the models ring true.
Nothing significant expected out of the South Pacific. Small southwest wind swell is expected to fill in late Wednesday into early Thursday. We could see some rideable surf on the 7th and possibly again on the 12th.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
