Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Wave heights are forecast to be shoulder/head high today.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be head high to overhead today with sets up to a few feet overhead.
South: Wave heights are expected to be head high to overhead today with sets up to a few feet overhead.
Our current west-northwest swell is expected to peak on Wednesday and hold through Thursday. This swell should ease through the weekend. A small northwest pulse could fill in Sunday and early next week.
Nothing significant expected out of the South Pacific.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
