Marine Weather Statement: A large north-northeast swell will continue to impact Hilo harbor with moderate harbor surges and large breaking waves at the harbor entrance. Mariners should use extreme caution when entering or leaving port and when mooring or launching vessels.

Looking Ahead
Light winds and land sea breezes are forecast for Thursday and Friday. Dry weather is expected during this time before winds increase out of the southwest over the weekend ahead of a strong cold front. Windy conditions are possible Sunday and Monday. This front could bring rainfall and heavy showers to parts of the state when it comes through early next week.
