Marine Weather Statement: A large north-northwest swell will shift around to the north-northeast through Wednesday. This will impact Hilo harbor with moderate harbor surges and large breaking waves at the harbor entrance. Mariners should use extreme caution when entering or leaving port and when mooring or launching vessels.

Gusty trade winds are forecast to continue into Tuesday with dry, cool conditions expected through Wednesday as winds veer to the east and gradually decrease in speed. Winds are forecast to become light and veer out of the south Thursday and Friday. A strong front with increasing southwest winds could affect the islands this weekend.
We have northeast winds today from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. High temperatures are forecast from 74° to 79° and feeling cooler due to the wind index. Partly to mostly sunny skies are forecast with isolated light showers and haze for the Kona side.
