UPDATE: Jan. 24

Hawaiʻi Island police have located 15-year-old Jacob Mead of Kamuela, who was reported missing in December 2016.

He was found Tuesday morning, Jan. 24, in Honokaʻa.

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching forJacob Mead, 15, of Kamuela.

Mead was last seen Dec. 9 in Waimea.

He is described as 5-foot-8, 160 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
