Komohana Street Work to Halt for NY Weekend

Reconstruction work will continue this week at the Komohana Street and Waiānuenue Avenue intersection between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather and construction conditions permitting.

No work will occur on the upcoming New Year’s holiday weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The intersection will remain open and the contractor will work on one approach at a time with off-duty police officers directing motorists around work area.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
