At the direction of President Barack Obama, the U.S. flag and the state flag will be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and all state offices and agencies as well as the Hawai‘i National Guard in the State of Hawai‘i immediately.

This action is a mark of respect for the memory of former U.S. Sen. John Glenn of Ohio.

Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of Sen. Glenn’s interment.
