Kimiko was born on April 3, 1913, in Hilo, HI. She was a homemaker.

Private Services held. She is survived by her son Melvin (Evelyn) Sugihara; daughters Janet (Ted) Sasamura of Hilo, HI and Patricia (Peter Nakayama) Blake of Hilo, HI; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Norman’s Mortuary; service will begin at 10:30 a.m.; burial will follow, 1 p.m., at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.

A luncheon to celebrate her life will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at Dani’s Restaurant in Wailuku.

Honey Girl is survived by her mother, Violet Uwekoolani; Son – Anthony (Delena) Martins Jr.; Daughter – Renee (Andrew) Friend; Brother – Sanford Uwekoolani Sr.: Sisters – Bobbie Jean Lovato and Mona Uwekoolani; and 4 Grandchildren – Dante Friend, Dylan Martins, Landon Friend, and Akela Martins.

Dexter Noboru Tamura, 66 of Kahului passed away at home under the care of Hospice Maui on Dec. 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 11, 1950 in Honolulu.

Visitation will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 from 6-9 p.m., service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at Ballard Family Mortuary on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 from 9 a.m.-noon.

Dexter is predeceased by his parents, Asao and Alice Tamura; hanai mother, Eura (Hannah) Sapir and son, Darren-Lee Tamura. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tamura; daughters, Deanna (Nui), Lee-Ann (Jeffery); son, Allen (Christy) Apolo; hanai daughter, Kahililani (Kama) Corpus; brothers, Rodney, Keith and Derek Tamura; sisters, Stephanie McDaniel, Ala Tamura; hanai brothers, Brian, Jeffery and Glenn Gasper; hanai sister, Denise Leopaldo and 25 grandchildren.

Dexter retired from Cutter Nissan Maui as a mechanic. He really LOVED the ocean, it was his playground. He is loved and will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Richard Javier Dumlao, 90, of Kahului passed away peacefully on Nov. 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on July 18, 1926 in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Richard retired from HC&S Co. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Dominga Dumlao.

He is survived by his sons, Rudy (Connie) Dumlao, Cristopher (Frances – deceased) Dumlao, Willie (Kathi) Pascual, and Tony (Lynn) Pascual; daughter, Rosita (Ray) Agatol. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park.

Kaehu is predeceased by her grandparents, David DeLima Sr and Eleanor L. DeLima, and her father, David DeLima Jr. She is survived by her son, Bishop; mother, Angela DeLima; grandmother, Sharon Hong and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Aldeleno “Dino” Torres, 80, of Kahului, passed away on Nov. 24, 2016 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 18, 1936 in Wailuku.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Ballard Family Mortuary, Kahului, service will begin at 11 a.m.

Aldeleno was the owner of Al Torres Plumbing. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Fausta “Chris” Torres; daughter, Theresa “Terri Lou” (Jesse) Correa; son, Dean “Dino” Alan Torres (Diana); brother, Abraham Torres; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
