An expansive Mauna Lani estate home is set to hit the auction block on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

The 1051 Honoka‘ope Way residence is a 5,621-square-foot home set within the “49 Black Sand Beach” community within the Kohala Coast resort’s grounds.

The home features five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths, all clad in wall-to-wall mahogany.

The luxury property is located footsteps away from Honoka‘ope Bay and Honoka‘ope Beach. 

Homeowners have access to resort amenities including golfing, tennis, a fitness room and an infinity swimming pool.

Built in 2006, the home is currently listed with local real estate Broker David A. Firestone, who represented the current owners when they purchased the home in July of 2015 for $3,550,000. The property is now listed for $4,600,000, 

County records show that the one-acre property the home sits on was sold to its previous owners as a vacant parcel for $1,800,000 in 2005.

The formal auction will take place in New York City alongside 16 other properties from around the world.  Bidders can participate in person or via mobile app.
