December Words and Wine Event at Kona Stories
December’s Words and Wine Event will take place on Dec. 6 at Kona Stories Book Shop at 6 p.m.
The monthly event is free to the public and includes an informal meet and greet, followed by a formal book presentation from each of three presenting authors and concludes with a question and answer session.
This month’s authors include Marlise La’a Kea Bühler, Lynn Andrews and Robert Frutos.
Marlise La’a Kea Bühler
Marlise La’a Kea Bühler, born in Switzerland, had a transformational near-death experience on a boat out in the Red Sea, Egypt. That was her inspiration to write her new story.
She is a teacher, author, kinesiologist, massage therapist and works with healing traditions from different cultures, also the Hawaiian shamanism.
Her love for the ocean, the dolphins and the whales inspired her to write her first book “Dolphin’s dance – in the ocean of love –” and to record the CD “Dolphin Spirit Songs” with the musician Jas Marlin in Hawai’i.
Marlise La’a Kea teaches different workshops and loves to share her experiences wherever she travels. She believes in the healing power of music and dance and in the power of staying in the heart.
The story “I Almost Died in Egypt” takes you on Maree’s journey of her near death experience, her mystical feelings and her healing process.
It talks about the beauty of being connected in the heart with all beings – people from different countries, cultures and religions and also animals like the dolphins and whales.
Music and melodies, the Hawaiian mythology and its legends are woven into the story and it builds bridges between different lifestyles and lifetimes.
Lynn Andrews is the author of 19 books and workbooks chronicling her adventures into the world of spirit, the real life worlds of her native teachers and their profound wisdom of ancient spiritual worlds, including New York Times and internationally best-selling “Medicine Woman” series. Her latest book is “Coming Full Circle.”
She is an international speaker and spiritual leader, teacher, healer; writing teacher; noted authority on achieving personal power and architect of the “act of power.”
In her book “Coming Full Circle,” Lynn Andrews has gathered stories from the most profound teachings she has received over the years from the women of the Sisterhood of the Shield, members of an ancient shamanic society deeply embedded in native cultures and traditions all over the world.
The shamanic, philosophical, and inspirational teachings are now condensed into one book.
Her unique narrative style reveals how the application of ancient healing techniques can relate to the modern world for over thirty years, interweaving teachings into aspects of universal truths.
Acclaimed and internationally known author, Robert Frutos, will be sharing a taste of his many successful books, with a focus on his Big Island guide books.
