Five HPD Officers Earn Promotions

badge-1-150x150Hawaiʻi Police Department Chief Harry S. Kubojiri has announced upcoming promotions of five employees from the rank of police officer to the rank of sergeant or detective:

Sgt. Erich D. Jackson, a 10-year veteran of the Hawaiʻi Police Department, will be assigned to the South Kohala District. He is currently assigned to Kona Patrol.

Sgt. Bryan I. R. Tina, a 10-year-veteran of the Police Department, will be assigned to the Puna District. He now works as a school resource officer in Hilo.

Det. Pernell E. Hanoa, an 11-year veteran of the Police Department, will be assigned to the Area II Criminal Investigations Section in Kona. His current assignment is in the Kaʻū District.

Det. Brandon K. Mansur, an 8-year veteran of the Police Department, will be assigned to the Area II Juvenile Aid Section in Kona. He is now assigned to Kona Patrol.

Det. Bobbie-Jo K. Sagon, an 11-year-veteran of the Police Department, will be assigned to the Area I Criminal Investigations Section in Hilo. She is currently assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Unit.

The promotions take effect on Nov. 16.
