Multiple pulses of swell energy out of the northwest are expected for next week. Kona side will be heavily shadowed from these swells. The first pulse is due to fill in late Tuesday into Wednesday. A bigger swell is forecast to build Wednesday into Thursday with another pulse expected Friday and into the weekend.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
