Big Island Sports Academy will serve as a co-sponsor for a series of free Speed Clinics featuring three-time Olympian and Gold Medalist Mike Frater, one of Jamaica’s most honored athletes.

Over the next month, Frater is scheduled to provide expert leadership, drills and demonstrations focused on his career experiences and training as a world-class sprinter.

Boys and girls ages 12 to 18 in all sports are encouraged to attend.

Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from hands-on drills that will increase footwork and speed.

The first set of clinics will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 11 and 13, 10:30  a.m. to noon at the track at Konawaena High School.
