Big Island Surf Forecast

Hilo side: Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising slightly later. Light and variable north-northwest winds with smooth seas until Sunday. Light and variable east-southeast winds with smooth seas later.

Kona & South side: New, very small and steep angled SSW-South swell laps in with surf hanging mainly under waist high or flat on the Kona Coast. Some areas may pull in waves up to thigh-waist high.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
