Big Island Surf Forecast

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Hilo side: Small short period wind waves from the east falling later in the weekend. Light and variable east-southeast winds, increasing later and switching to the north-northeast.

Kona & South side: New SSW swell tops out. The better Southern Hemi exposed spots of the island will see waist-chest high sets all day, while select summer spots produce occasional shoulder-head high waves.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
