Big Island Surf Forecast

Hilo side: Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable north-northeast winds with smooth seas.

Kona & South side: New SSW swell slowly builds in through the day. Surf starts out mainly under waist high across the Kona Coast in the morning, many spots flat, but then gradually rises up with waist-chest high sets by the end of the day at summer magnets.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
