Hilo side: Light and variable north-northeast winds with smooth seas, increasing later. Light and variable north winds later and switching to the east.

Kona & South side: Old SSW swell fades with the well exposed breaks of the Kona Coast around ankle-knee high surf, as top spots hit waist high on sets but inconsistent. 

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
