Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Surf heights are expected in the knee to shoulder high range today. Small mid period swell from the north-northwest rising slightly later in the day. Light and variable south-southeast winds all day and switching to the east-northeast.
Kona side: Surf heights are expected in the waist to chest high range today. Peaking SSW swell.
South: Surf heights are expected in shoulder to head high range today. Small mid period swell from the southeast rising slightly later in the day. Breezy east-northeast winds, whitecapping conditions with moderate choppy seas, Increasing later.
Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
