Big Island Surf Forecast

Hilo: Surf heights are expected to be in the knee to shoulder high range today. Small mid period swell from the northwest holding during the day. Light and variable southeast winds with smooth seas all day.

Kona: Surf heights are expected to be in the knee to chest high range today. SSW swell trends up all day – larger sets possible late.

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

South: Surf heights are expected to be in the shoulder to head high range today.Small short period wind waves from the southeast holding during the day. Light and variable east winds with smooth seas, Increasing later.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
