Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Small short period wind waves from the east-southeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable north-northwest winds with smooth seas.
Kona side: SSW swell holds to slowly eases through the day with mainly waist-chest high waves along with occasional shoulder high sets at standouts, especially in the morning.
South: Surf heights are expected in the waist-chest high along with occasional shoulder high sets at standouts. NOTE – Choppier on the Hilo Side.
Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
