Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men wanted in a burglary investigation.

A Puna man reported that when he arrived at his home on the 16-2700 block of Ainaloa Drive on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 7, he noticed a piece of equipment had been moved.

He reviewed surveillance images and determined that two unknown men had entered his house shortly before 11 a.m. and moved the item from one room to another. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Police ask anyone who knows anything about this case or who knows the identity of either man to call the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Officer Duane Rapoza Jr. at 965-2716.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
