Our trade winds are expected to strengthen a bit Wednesday through Friday to moderate to locally strong. As we approach the weekend, winds are expected to weaken and get lighter. Showers embedded in the trades will favor our usual windward and mauka areas mainly in the night and morning hours. The leeward side of the Big Island will see afternoon clouds and a few showers.
Mostly cloudy skies with showers likely for windward areas in the morning. Partly cloudy with scattered showers during the day. Hazy skies for the Kona side with mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon and scattered showers, otherwise mostly clear. High temperatures from 84° to 89°. Winds will be northeasterly around 10 to 20 mph.
