Looking Ahead
Trade winds are expected to stick around through the coming week. The trades will carry areas of tropical moisture over the islands while a passing disturbance high in the atmosphere will make the conditions more unstable over the next several days. This combination will keep the weather rainier than normal over much of the next week.
Today & Sunday
Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers for windward areas. Hazy skies for the Kona side with mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon and isolated showers. High temperatures from 84° to 89°. Winds will be northeasterly around 15 mph.
UV index at 13 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight & Sunday Night
Winds will be northeasterly around 15 mph. Mostly cloudy with scattered showers in windward spots and gradual clearing as the night goes on for lee areas. Low temperatures from 69° to 74°.
