Missing Extended-Furlough Inmate Returned to HCCC
Missing extended-furlough inmate Daniel Abraham was returned at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon to the Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center.
He was arrested on Saturday, July 23, in the Kealakekua area by Hawai‘i County Police.
Abraham failed to report to the Hale Nani Reintegration Center for his scheduled check-in on February 19.
Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times throughout the month.
Abraham is serving time for Assault 1, Kidnapping and Place to Keep a Firearm. Escape 2 is expected to be added to his charges. He was scheduled for a parole hearing in June. 35-year old Abraham is classified as community custody which is the lowest custody level.
