Passenger Arrested for Biting Flight Attendant

FBI agents, with the assistance of Hawai‘i State Sheriff Deputies, arrested Togio Aumoeualogo, this morning, July 12, 2016, at Honolulu International Airport.

Aumoeualogo, 35, a resident of American Samoa, was enroute to Honolulu aboard Hawaiian Airlines Flight No. 466 from Pago Pago.

Aumoeualogo is accused of interfering with a flight crew, a violation of Title 49 USC 46504; a crime with a statutory maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment.

He is also accused of being belligerent on the flight, biting a flight attendant and threatening the flight crew.

Aumoeualogo’s initial appearance has been set for 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.

As always, a criminal complaint is only an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent unless or until being proven guilty in a court of law.
