Bayfront Highway and Highway 19 in Hilo will be closed between Pauahi Street and Wainaku Street, just before ‘Alae Cemetery from 5 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, to accommodate runners in the Hilo Triathlon.
Hamakua-bound traffic on Kamehameha Avenue will detour up Wailuku Drive and the right onto Wainaku Street.
The detour will follow Wainaku Street until it ends and reunites with the highway just before ‘Alae Cemetery.

Hilo-bound traffic on Highway 19 will detour up Wainaku Street, then proceed left onto Wailuku Drive, right on Kino‘ole Street, and left on Waianuenue Avenue back to Kamehameha Avenue.
