This conference will feature Nathan Winograd, the author of Redemption, which was also made into a film.

The event will also offer proven ways to turn animal shelters with high kill rates into life-saving no-kill shelters.

The opening ceremony begins at 8 a.m.; a screening Redemption the No Kill Presentation will continue through 11 a.m.

From 1 to 4 p.m., solutions will be offered on how to turn Hawai’i Island into a no-kill community.

Currently, over 300 shelters across the Mainland have achieved a 90% live release rate.
