Military Convoys to Travel from Kawaihae to Pohakuloa

Military convoys will travel between Kawaihae Harbor and Pohakuloa Training Area beginning Sunday.

Oahu-based service members will travel between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and again from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., through next Thursday.

The convoys will utilize Akoni Pule Corridor, Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway, and the Daniel K. Inouye Highway.

Efforts between the PTA Department of Army police, local authorities, and military units have coordinated the activity in support of unit training and readiness.

Motorists driving along the listed roadways during scheduled convoy times should remain alert and drive with care.
