Hawaiian Airlines Continues Top-Ranked Punctuality Streak

The United States Department of Transportation has reported Hawaiian Airlines as the most punctual airline for the month of March, continuing the airline’s streak as top-ranked carrier.

Data released as part of the DOT’s Air Travel Consumer Report includes the ranking of 16 of the largest air carriers in the country.

March’s statistics include an 89.9 percent on time arrival rate. The airline also ranked in second place for fewest flight cancellations for the month of march with 0.1 percent. The cancellation number represents nine canceled flights out of 6,355.

Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines were ranked second and third in on-time arrivals at 87.9 percent and 86.4 percent, respectively.

Hawaiian Airlines also held the top rank for on-time arrivals in February with an on-time arrival percentage of 91.9 percent, in January with an on-time percentage of arrivals on schedule at 91.7 percent, and in December with an on-time percentage of 93 percent.

Hawaiian Airlines flies non-stop service from Hawai’i to 11 cities in North America and about 160 flights between the Hawaiian Islands daily.
