UH-Hilo: Eleventh Place Finish in PacWest Commissioner’s Cup

The University of Hawai’i at Hilo finished near the bottom of the pack in the final PacWest Conference Commissioner’s Cup standings.

UH-Hilo finished in 11th place out of 14 conference schools, well behind Commissioner’s Cup winner California Baptist, who won its fourth cup and third in a row.

Schools receive points based on their order of finish in conference sports, with higher point values awarded for better finishes. The winning number is based on an average amount of points received by each school’s athletic events.

UH-Hilo’s best result came in softball, where it earned 10 points. Men’s golf followed with nine points and women’s basketball brought in eight points. The Vulcans finished with an average total of 4.500, well behind of California Baptist’s 11.958.
