Looking Ahead
Clouds and showers will focus primarily across windward and mauka areas and will be most likely across the Big Island due to lingering moisture from a weakening front. The trade winds will ease somewhat Thursday through Saturday. An upper level disturbance will pass over the state this weekend, and may bring some locally heavy downpours to the island chain. Stronger trades are expected to return beginning on Sunday and continuing through the middle of next week.

We expect mostly cloudy skies with occasional windward showers in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon. The Kona side will be partly sunny to start with building clouds and scattered afternoon showers. North winds are forecast around 15 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.
