Walmart Hilo plans to hire 70 temporary associates as it undergoes a remodeling project.

Company officials said Monday that the employees will play a part in the store’s future remodel, including dismantling fixtures and displays, stocking merchandise, setting up product displays, and cleaning departments that have undergone remodeling.

Walmart plans to begin the work in June and anticipates work running through mid-October.

Compensation will begin at over $11 per hour for the temporary positions.

Interested applicants can visit any Walmart in-store hiring kiosk or apply on the Walmart website.
