Soyeon Kate Lee and Ran Dank, Naumnurg International Piano Award-winners, will perform at Kahilu Theater on Wednesday, May 11.

The 7 p.m. performance will feature the pair on Kahilu’s new Steinway together.

Together, the pianists will perform classical pieces together and will each play a solo.

Lee, a Korean-American pianist, was a first prize winner of the 2010 Naumburg International Piano Competition and the 2004 Concert Artist Guild International Competition. She has been lauded by the New York Times as a pianist with “a huge, richly varied sound, a lively imagination, and a firm sense of style,” and by the Washington Post for her “stunning command of the keyboard.”

Dank won a coveted place on the Young Concert Artists list in 2009 and later made his New York recital debut. He won second prize in the Naumburg International Piano Competition, runner up to Lee.
